Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Flow Co-Ordinator to join our busy admin and clerical team within the Emergency Department.
We are looking for a passionate individual who can work both well within a team and also can demonstrate the ability to use own initiative.
The role of the Flow Co-ordinator is to provide support to the Nurse in Charge (NIC)whilst working alongside clinical teams, patients and the general public. To provide a comprehensive and efficient operational and clerical service to the Emergency Department, ensuring all work is prioritised according to the demands of the department.
The flow co-ordinator will be expected to work as part of the ED team, under the direction of the NIC, and management of the Administration Manager to ensure the smooth flow of patients through the department. It is expected that by co-ordinating administrative tasks, and liaising with other departments, the post holder will contribute to the efficient and effective running of the ED resulting in a significant reduction in patient journey times.
