Gynaecology Ultrasound Receptionist

Job summary

We are looking for someone to join our team of friendly receptionists in the Gynaecology and Obstetric Ultrasound department. The receptionists work closely with the sonographers and check patient's in for their ultrasounds scans. They are able to handle queries from patients, relatives and NHS staff from other departments and the community.

The working hours for this post are Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.

Main duties of the job

Our receptionists welcome patients into the department and provide assistance or guidance to patients where necessary. The receptionists have a good understanding of the types of examinations the patients are attending for and manage them accordingly. They can deal with queries in a calm a professional manner. Because they are the first contact the patient will have with the department they must be friendly and polite.
