Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job summary

The post holder is responsible for providing and co-ordinating a supportive service for patients, carers and their families for those who have a Haematological diagnosis. This includes the delivery of expert holistic evidence based clinical care to patients with complex haematological needs and the provision of education for patients', carers and staff. The post holder will be able to manage a patient caseload, work autonomously and also within a small team. The post holder will act as an expert resource to health care professionals.

  • oENB 237/A27/post qualification in oncology/haematology or completing 3rd year of cancer degree pathway
  • oChemotherapy module
  • oEducated to degree level, or working towards

  • oENB 998/mentorship Training/equivalent

Experience and knowledge

  • oAt least 3 years post registration experience
  • oMinimum of 2 years' experience at Band 5 within an acute Oncology/Haematology nursing
