Band 5 Gynaecology Staff Nurse- Gynaecology Outpatients and Colposcopy

We are looking for a Passionate, compassionate and dedicated Part Time Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Gynaecology Outpatient and Colposcopy team at the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a genuine passion caring for Women undergoing all aspects of gynaecological care.

As Staff Nurse, you will be working alongside a supportive and committed multi-disciplinary team. This post will include, coordinating care and chaperoning the patients attending gynaecology outpatients, assisting in the colposcopy clinics and also those attending the gynaecology termination clinic. There will be opportunities for you to develop and expand within your role. You can expect to receive in house training from the Gynaecology Outpatient Sisters and other members of the team. Excellent communication skills, a friendly approachable nature and the ability to manage your own workload are required. Previous gynaecology experience is desirable but not essential.

We are a dynamic unit which treats a wide range of Gynaecological conditions. We run a termination service on the gynaecology ward, which you may be required to partake in, therefore it is vital you do not have a conscientious objection to this procedure.

Main duties of the job

Chaperoning in all gynaecology and colposcopy clinics.

Supporting Clinicians and CNSs

Undertaking additional tasks required within the department- i.e audits, data collection
