Healthcare Science Assistant/Senior Healthcare Science Assistant
The closing date is 18 September 2025
Job summary
We are looking for an ambitious Healthcare Science Assistant / Senior Healthcare Science Assistant to join the Cardiology team at the Newmarket Community Diagnostic Centre.
Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) are being established across the country under a government programme to improve local access to diagnostic testing.
Newmarket's' CDC will open November 2024 and, once open, will deliver approximately 100,000 outpatient tests a year, which alongside Cardiology, will include CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, blood tests and Respiratory. This will mean the communities in and around Newmarket will have quicker and easier access to the tests they need in a modern facility located on their doorstep. The centre, offering a 7 day a week service, will reduce waiting times and tackling health inequalities by ensuring our patients get their test arranged, their results back and any necessary treatment scheduled more quickly.
