An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team of Finance Business Partners (supported by Deputy Finance Managers and Management Accountants) who concentrate on working strategically with senior managers and clinicians, to drive and support the business decisions of the Clinical Directorates.

The successful applicant will be CCAB qualified (or equivalent), educated to degree level (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate continued personal development.

Office presence is expected; the team is currently working in a hybrid manner, in agreement with their line manager and business needs.

Main duties of the job

The broad purpose of the post is to support the Clinical Divisions to ensure that the Trust meets both its financial and performance targets by:

  • Working with the Senior Management Team of the Clinical Directorate to develop a Strategic Business Plan for the Division.
  • Responsibility for the reporting of the financial position of the Division to the monthly Directorate Performance review meeting and providing commentary for the Trust Board report.
  • Working with a number of stakeholders to analyse and interpret financial and non-financial data, using benchmarking and other resources to make recommendations for improvement and support the change process
  • Line management and development responsibility of a Deputy Finance Manager, undertaking appraisals and framing personal development plans
