Exciting times in MRI. The Newmarket CDC is now open, and we are planning for our new Hospital.
The MRI service is aiming to operate 08:00 - 20:00 scanning, 7 days working. We are looking to extend our Band 6 structure to further support the CDC and WSH teams.
The CDC is a wonderful environment with the very latest technology and scanners. We have a GE Voyager with air coils and latest AI technology.
Whilst this is a fixed term post this is likely to evolve with staff movement.
We are looking for an MR radiographer who is ready to take on a new challenge. We are a friendly team who undertake a wide variety of studies. We encourage autonomy and decision making. We will support your wellbeing and professional development.
This post is funded from the CDC and expectation is to work across sites.
You will be required to work extended days and weekends. Job share opportunities will be considered.
Main duties of the job
To participate in 7 day extended day working
Understand MHRA and MRI safety applications in day-to-day scanning
To prepare and make patients feel at ease to whilst keeping a tight schedule
To review equipment and to flag any artefacts or issues
To participate in QA programme
To participate in training from ILS to ANTT
To adapt protocols according to clinical pathology

- Professional work experience in the NHS
