Ward F6 have a great opportunity for a passionate candidate to join our team. We are looking for someone who is organised, professional and motivated to provide excellent patient care. We have 2 WTE permanent positions and 1 WTE fixed term maternity cover available.
This is a perfect environment to have supported learning and development in surgical nursing. You will be supported in a well established team, with excellent working relationships with the multidisciplinary teams.
F6 is a 33 bedded unit which consists of 5 x bays and 3 x SR's
The ward is fast paced and very busy, we have a mixture of patients on the ward and some of these can be very sick, they also may need to go to theatre. We work closely with multi- disciplinary teams some of these being pain team, colorectal nurses, Palliative care, Dieticians and Diabetes.
You will be joining a diverse team passionate in providing patients with the best possible experience.
Main duties of the job
As a staff Nurse in Emergency surgery you will be a valued member of the team, providing high quality care to patients in a professional and compassionate manner. You will be supporting patients on the emergency pathways during their surgical admission through to their recovery. You will be joining an experienced team who strive to provide excellent patient care whilst promoting best practice.

STAFF CAR PARKING
Staff Car Parking on the West Suffolk Hospital Site is eligible for individuals working outside of the core hours, 07:00 18:30.
For individuals working within the core hours, the Trust offers parking off site at the Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, which is serviced by a regular shuttle bus to and from the Hospital. Details of the bus timetable can be found in the on-line starter pack on the West Suffolk Hospital website.
This parking restriction does not apply if an individual is required to work on a weekend or if they are required to complete on call duties within their role.
