Job summary
The post holder will undertake a range of clinical and administrative duties commensurate with a band 5 Audiologist, assisting in the provision of an effective audiology service on all West Suffolk Hospital Trust sites.
Main duties of the job
To have autonomous responsibility for both routine patients referred to the Department by the Direct GP Access route. This responsibility includes comprehensive assessment of the patient's hearing difficulties, physical examination of the ears, full hearing assessment using appropriate techniques, diagnosis of condition, design of an appropriate treatment plan, decision regarding onward referral for medical intervention.
To work at West Suffolk Hospital site and peripheral Sites at Newmarket, Thetford, Sudbury, and other peripheral sites as required.
