Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the West Suffolk Material management team based in the Procurement department.

The role is Monday to Friday (core hours) and supports all the different areas of the Trust to ensure we have the right consumables in the right place at the right time. The role will monitor stock levels, raise orders against agreed stock levels and place the deliveries on the shelf in the relevant departments and wards.

STAFF CAR PARKING

Staff Car Parking on the West Suffolk Hospital Site is eligible for individuals working outside of the core hours, 07:00 - 18:30.

For individuals working within the core hours, the Trust offers parking off site at the Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, which is serviced by a regular shuttle bus to and from the Hospital. Details of the bus timetable can be found in the on-line starter pack on the West Suffolk Hospital website.

This parking restriction does not apply if an individual is required to work on a weekend or if they are required to complete "on call" duties within their role.

Main duties of the job

Undertake daily stock checks in various wards and department on a daily basis

Undertake the unpacking off daily deliveries, to ensure all wards and department have the consumable stock required.

Be the first point of contact for all wards and department for urgent or additional consumable requirements.

Utilise the different e-procurement systems to place requirements and ensure delivery in a timely manner

Regular link with budget holders to monitor and reviewing stock products and levels
