We are delighted that the opportunity has arisen for a permanent band 5 Dietitian to join our well established and friendly Dietetic department within the West Suffolk Foundation Trust, Bury St Edmunds.
We are an innovative dietetic department working across both acute and community settings, covering a wide range of specialist areas. The band 5 Dietitian will be based in a busy acute hospital providing dietetic care across a range of medical wards, as well as providing outpatient clinics.

The role is suitable for new graduates as well as those who have previous experience as we offer the successful candidate the opportunity to build on existing clinical practice. You can apply whilst completing your final year of Dietetic study.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will manage a clinical caseload across both medical and surgical wards to provide dietetic therapy to inpatients. As a department, we provide student placements and the postholder will be involved in the training programme which will include supervising students and contributing to assessments.
In addition to above, the postholder will hold two clinics a week, which will include patients referred for nutrition support, IBS and a range of other conditions requiring dietetic input.

STAFF CAR PARKING
Staff Car Parking on the West Suffolk Hospital Site is eligible for individuals working outside of the core hours, 07:00 18:30.
For individuals working within the core hours, the Trust offers parking off site at the Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, which is serviced by a regular shuttle bus to and from the Hospital. Details of the bus timetable can be found in the on-line starter pack on the West Suffolk Hospital website.
This parking restriction does not apply if an individual is required to work on a weekend or if they are required to complete on call duties within their role.
