The Surgical Division is seeking to recruit a proactive and passionate Service Manager to support the team. The successful candidate will ideally have management experience within the NHS and a proven track record in leading change and successful team building. They will be an excellent communicator and demonstrate an ability to lead from the front.

Main duties of the job
- In conjunction with the Senior Operations Manager (SOM), the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a safe, efficient and effective patient centred service within the Division at all times in accordance with national and local objectives and standards.
- The post holder will work with clinicians and managers to ensure the achievement of the Trust's strategic objectives.
- To develop and maintain excellent professional working relations with Clinical Leads, SOM's, Senior Nursing Staff, Support and partnership staff to the Division, clinical staff and a range of key external stakeholders.
- To work with clinicians and senior managers to ensure the achievement of the Trust's strategic objectives.
- As an active member of the Divisional Management Team, the Service Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of select services within the Division and line managing designated staff.
- In conjunction with the SOM, the Service Manager will identify strategic developments within the service and implement changes where agreed, ensuring the delivery of key quality, performance, and financial plans.

- Service Delivery and Development
