Job summary

We are looking for a keen and committed individual to join our team in cardiology, providing administration support for the day-to-day running of the Diagnostic Cardiology Department, located in The Cardiac Centre. Key aspects of this role include working closely with a variety of people and utilising the cardiology patient database to ensure smooth running of the diagnostic cardiology department.

It is essential that the applicant has experience with patient or customer facing roles. This role involves varied departmental administration duties, including reception cover, booking appointments, communication with patients on a daily basis and some reception work.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will join the Clerical and Administrative team within the Diagnostic Cardiology Department. As a member of the Diagnostic Cardiology Team, the applicant will support the administrative functions within the team, and all other linked areas e.g. Wards, Clinics and the catheter lab.

The post holder will perform varied departmental administration duties including; booking appointments, reception cover and communications with patients on a daily basis.

In the performance of duties, the post holder will be required to liaise with medical and nursing staff and other departments across West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust as necessary.
