Clinical Nurse Specialist - Band 6 - Dermatology

Job summary

We are seeking a motivated individual to work within our dynamic and forward-thinking Dermatology service. This new role will work with our Dermatology consultants and Surgical nurse practitioner to assist with the next phase of our development of the Trust artificial Intelligence (AI) system for 2WW cancer referrals. This will involve being able to refer patients directly onto a surgical pathway. This role will work with the team on ensuring that patients have all the necessary information and support they need to allow them to go directly to surgery.

Prior experience of working within a surgical setting would be beneficial as well as working within a team and either implementing change or being part of a change process.

Further education related to Dermatology will be provided by the team and the opportunity to attend external educational courses as available.

Main duties of the job

This dermatology department is consistently looking at new ways of working for both our cancer and general dermatology patients. There will be the opportunity for the post holder to develop skills in all aspects of dermatology and to go on to developing their own area of interest within the team whether this be with cancer patients or general dermatology patients.
