Job summary
We are looking for a passionate Advanced Clinical Practitioner with surgical skills who would be keen to develop further and to have opportunities to develop their clinical assessment skills.
The post holder will be based at West Suffolk Foundation Trust (WSFT) within the Dermatology Department. The post holder will use a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making alongside demonstrating the four pillars of practice. The post holder will be accountable for independent clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis, and treatment within an agreed scope of practice in dermatology. In addition to this the post holder will be responsible for appropriately referring patients to relevant specialities for any necessary inpatient or outpatient investigations as well as facilitating safe patient discharge.
The post holder will be expected to perform advanced dermatological skin surgery. If the postholder does not have the skills to undertake Rapid Access Clinics and Skin Analytic Clinics these can be developed.
The post holder will assist with the teaching of basic skin surgery to the nursing team as needed.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be based at West Suffolk Foundation Trust (WSFT) within the Dermatology department under Medicine.
The Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) will use a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making alongside demonstrating the four pillars of practice: Clinical Practice, Leadership and Management, Education and Research, providing healthcare that enables innovative solutions to enhance experience and improve outcomes within their speciality area.
The ACP is accountable for independent clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice. In addition to this the ACP is also responsible for appropriately referring patients to relevant specialties for any necessary inpatient or outpatient investigations as well as facilitating safe patient discharge.
