We are searching for a forward-looking and enthusiastic person. You will be expected to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team and as such have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will hold a BSc/MSc in Audiology or nationally recognised qualification in Audiology and have appropriate post-qualification experience in an NHS Audiology Service. You will be registered with the AHCS or HCPC as a Clinical Scientist or working towards registration.
Main duties of the job
Although based in the Audiology department, your role will be to ensure the day-to-day delivery of the Audiology service in the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) including the supervision of junior staff and undertaking the diagnostic assessment of patients referred on Paediatric, Adult and Tinnitus pathways. The post may also include undertaking rehabilitation on all patient groups at the main Audiology site.
You will lead and be actively engaged in the UKAS IQIPS accreditation. You will also take part in the quality assurance, audit and peer review of the audiology service.
The post is full time, but there is the opportunity to work flexible hours within a 4/5 day week or 9 day fortnight.
