Band 5 Full Time Position 23 Month Fixed term Post
An opportunity has arisen to recruit two Procurement Officers to join the NWUHG (Norfolk and Waveney University Hospitals Group) new hospital programmes, supporting the Future Paget Programme (James Paget University Hospital) and the New Queen Elizabeth Hospital Programme (King's Lynn). Both schemes form part of the NHP (New Hospital Programme), a nationally significant programme to deliver new hospitals and are currently scheduled for completion by 2032.
These roles offer the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of major capital programmes that will provide long-term health, social and economic benefits across Norfolk and Waveney
The posts are offered on a full-time basis.
Main duties of the job
The Procurement Officers will support procurement activity across the programmes from tender issue through to contract award and mobilisation. The roles include coordinating evaluations and supplier engagement, maintaining accurate records on eCommercial systems, and contributing to reporting, governance and assurance activities.The roles operate at programme and Group level and are not site-specific. While one postholder will be based at the James Paget University Hospital and one at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn, both roles will support procurement activity across both the Future Paget Programme and the New QEH Programme, as well as wider Group priorities. Some travel will be required between the James Paget University Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn, and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.We are looking for candidates with experience of procurement or purchasing within the public sector or a similarly complex environment, strong administrative and stakeholder management skills, and a high level of attention to detail.
