Job summary
We are looking for a Theatre Receptionist on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (with the possibility of being made permanent). Secondment opportunities are also welcome.
The role of Theatre Receptionist requires good communication skills with the ability to interact professionally at all times with the multi-disciplinary teams and visitors to the department, both in person and on the telephone.
Main duties of the job
To provide the first point of contact for operating theatres, presenting a professional, calm and confident manner in line with the Trust's Values & Behaviours.
To provide a full reception service to operating theatres.
Maintaining accurate information and patient demographics within Trust ORMIS system.

- 4 GCSE's grade D or above including Mathematics and English or equivalent
Desirable
- NVQ level 2 in customer care or administration experience including recent face to face working with the general public
Experience and Knowledge

- Basic knowledge of Receptionist role
- Knowledge of the importance of confidentiality and data protection issues in a healthcare environment

- Experience of working with clinical teams
