Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to appoint a self-motivated individual, with great interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer service, to work as an Outpatient Clinic Co-ordinator within the Corporate Division, covering a range of specialities, to deliver a first rate booking service to our patients.
Main duties of the job
OUTPATIENT CLINIC CO-ORDINATOR Band 3, Full time, Part time and fixed term cover available
To provide a high quality, efficient and responsive administrative service in respect of the 18 week Referral to Treatment process.
To offer the highest standard of customer care to patients and other service users, adhering to Departmental guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures and the Trust's Code of Values & Behaviour's.
About us
You will be joining a dedicated administrative team that supports patient care within the outpatient environment and provides a focal point liaising with patients, relatives and other staff groups, both by telephone and in person.
Good organisational/time management skills, customer service skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting workloads effectively are essential.
Experience of working in an NHS setting and working with the Electronic Referral Service and other clinical systems would be beneficial.

Education and Qualification
Essential
- 4 GCSEs grade 5 or above including Mathematics and English or equivalent e.g. level 2 literacy and numeracy qualifications
- NVQ level 2/3 in Business Admin, other relevant subject or equivalent certificate.
Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- Minimum of 1 years experience in a similar administrative role with a proven track record of achievement.
- Basic knowledge of Booking systems and processes
- Excellent IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft applications
Desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of the 18 week Referral to Treatment standards and outpatient clinic management and booking processes
- Administration experience within an NHS setting
- Operational knowledge and understanding of iPM, eRS and RTT

- Ability to work in a pressurised working environment with frequent interruptions and change of work direction
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and the wider multi disciplinary team
