AMU/SDEC Housekeeper

Job summary

To work as an integral part of AMU and SDEC, ensuring that both the department and all medical equipment is kept clean and stocked up in order to provide a high quality service.

Main duties of the job

To visually check the overall cleanliness of the department, monitoring the cleaning specification and maintenance schedule taking remedial action as required.

To ensure the staff kitchen and rest rooms are clean and tidy.

To check the temperature of the food fridges in the rest rooms and ensure they are kept clean and tidy and that all food is labelled and out of date items disposed of.

To ensure kitchen stock levels are appropriate for staff and replenish as necessary.

To ensure all stock is ordered and out for use.

To ensure equipment room is clean and tidy and all equipment is clean with dated stickers attached.

Ensure storeroom floors are cleaned twice weekly.

To complete all cleaning schedules and any other paperwork accurately within given timelines.
