  • Full GMC Registration
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Applicants must meet the requirements set out in the Foundation Programme 2010 Eligibility Criteria

Experience

Essential

  • Evidence of achievement of foundation year 1 competencies
  • Able to prioritise clinical needs. Aware of own limitations and knows when to consult senior colleagues
  • Clinical Knowledge & Expertise: appropriate knowledge base and ability to apply sound clinical judgement to problems.

Desirable

  • Knowledge & understanding of UK Hospital systems & practises and value: awareness of current issues in the NHS.

Training, audit, and research

Essential

  • Understands the principles of patient confidentiality and data protection.
  • Understands principles of clinical governance in clinical practise.
  • The applicant must demonstrate an understanding of the outcomes to be achieved in the Foundation Programme
