BAND 5 DIETITIAN Permanent | Full-Time
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic dietitian to join our Adult Acute Dietetic Team. We are open to applications from student dietitians that are completing their studies and dietitians that are pre-registration. Experience of working within the NHS and the hospital setting would be an advantage.
We are a small and friendly team that includes a range of dietitians from senior to newly qualified, dietetic assistants and secretarial support. Professional development is encouraged and supported through supervision and objective setting. You will be allocated time for studying and shadowing experienced senior dietitians.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and proactive dietitian, with good clinical knowledge, communication and team working skills.This role would provide a brilliant opportunity to start your dietetic career working within a team of enthusiastic and motivated dietitians. The post-holder will be required to provide cover to a range of wards including but not limited to general medicine, orthopaedic, respiratory, cardiology, surgery, gastroenterology, frailty and care of the elderly. In addition to inpatient wards, the post-holder will be required to provide an outpatient clinic on a regular basis.
All dietitians are actively involved in student training and host training to placement students from The University of Hertfordshire and The University of East Anglia. The post-holder will be actively involved in these training programmes and in the development, implementation and audit of patient care practices as part of clinical governance. There will also be opportunities to develop supervisory skills through mentoring junior members of the team.
