Support Medical Administrator

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Support Medical Administrator to join the Respiratory department (working across Medical Secretaries and Clinical Teams) at the James Paget University Hospital.

The post holder will work 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

This role will consist of transcribing digital dictation in relation to outpatient clinic letters and other documentation as required for the patient pathway. Administrative duties will also be required to provide support to the medical secretaries and clinical teams as required.All applicants should possess good levels of communication skills, have excellent touch typing/word processing skills with attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team. Good basic IT skills and experience working within an admin role are also essential. Knowledge of medical terminology would also be an advantage.
