Digital Project Manager

The closing date is 27 May 2025

Job summary

Digital Health is pleased to offer a one year fixed term post in the Trust's Digital Programme Management Office (DPMO) to support the delivery of our digital programme.

We are looking for an experienced digital project manager with a track record of delivering safe and successful digital transformation. The broad and diverse nature of the projects we lead will mean that no two days are the same. You'll have the opportunity to implement new digital technologies as well as standard upgrades of existing systems. It's an exciting time to join our team during a period of rapid development as the Trust delivers its digital maturity agenda.

You'll be required to negotiate, problem solve, think strategically and need strong communication skills to network and build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You'll have demonstrable experience in leading successful digital change initiatives, project management skills and a passion for digital innovation to support our organisation in its strategic ambitions.

Main duties of the job

This rewarding and challenging role will responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of a rolling portfolio of priority digital projects from the Trust's digital programme. The role will include overseeing the effective creation of project plans, embedding relevant governance processes, fostering stakeholder relationships both internal and external, and leading project teams through the project lifecycle, from concept to delivery and into business as usual.

Given the broad range of projects within the portfolio you'll need to adapt your skills to drive each project forward; this will include responsibility for the design and delivery of project milestones and employing a range of continuous improvement methodologies through which you will deliver the benefits we are seeking. You'll closely monitor and update project schedules and financial impacts, prepare progress reports, control risks and issues and liaise with key stakeholders, escalating with remedial actions where necessary.

The roles require enthusiastic and resilient individuals who pay particular attention to detail, proactively addressing new developments and responding to challenges with tenacity and flexibility. We're looking for colleagues who have an excellent understanding of the current healthcare landscape and the opportunities for improvement which technological advancements and new ways of working can provide.

About us

You'll be joining a supportive and highly motivated team with a passion for playing their part in delivering best in class care for our patients. You'll need to be a great collaborator, be able to prioritise and manage a diverse workload within tight deadlines, have excellent analytical skills and be confident at liaising with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and externally.

We are very proud of the JPUH and its people, and are continuously seeking improvements which ensure we deliver the best experience and outcomes for our colleagues, patients and their families. We support employees to maintain commitments and interests outside of work and encourage good work-life balance by offering a flexible and agile working environment
