Job summary

To provide a friendly & efficient , one-stop service at all times for patient and service user enquiries (telephone and face-to face), adhering to the operational/customer care guidelines.

Main duties of the job

Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work, accurate documentation presentation and attention to detail, able to work as part of a team, punctual and reliable, awareness and understanding of the importance of confidentiality, polite, adaptable, motivated and enthusiastic and demonstrate a willingness to learn

About us

The Endoscopy unit at the James Paget University Hospital is a JAG accredited purpose built unit located on the ground floor, we are designed to accommodate both outpatients and inpatients requiring endoscopic procedures as emergency or elective cases. The Endoscopy unit is a Training, Teaching and Research Active Department which is fully equipped with Video endoscopes and associated equipment.

The unit consists offour Endoscopy theatres, one of which has the facilities to undertake x ray screening and laser procedures.

There is a reception and waiting room area, two recovery bays (male and female) and specialist rooms dedicated to the cleaning and disinfection / sterilization of the endoscopes
