Job summary
As and When (Bank) Waste Porter
As part of the Waste Porter role, you will be responsible, as a team, in collecting all waste streams including Domestic Waste, Clinical Waste, Soiled Linen Bags, Sharps Containers and any other associated duties as and when required.
Main duties of the job
The Waste Porter's collect all of the dirty linen from the wards, a total of 34,000 items of linen collated in approximately 1,760 bags per week & 14 tonnes of waste.
The collection of clinical waste and general waste is covered by staff between 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am, 365 days a year.
You will be required to operate an electric tow truck as part of these duties, which fulltraining will be provided.
