Clinical Fellow (FY1 Level) Non Training post
The James Paget Hospital is looking to recruit an FY1 level doctors for a fixed term period until August 2024, rotating through the following departments:
- General Medicine, Acute Medicine, General Surgery
Main duties of the job
All Doctors in hospital posts will generally be ward based during the 'normal' working day and expected to deliver the daily medical care of all the patients on their ward irrespective of specialty.
The departments in which you will work operate a Full Shift rota.

As this is a non-training post, this post requires the candidate to have Full GMC Registration.
Foundation Year 1 Trainees will be required to work a full shift system and attend daily morning ward rounds with the Specialty trainee(s) Middle grades and Consultants.
Contribute to the care of in-patients, attend occasional out patient clinics, assist with operating lists, maintain the upkeep of medical notes and complete discharge letters to GPs.
He/she will be required to arrange admission and discharge of patients under the supervision of the Specialty trainees and Consultants.
The successful candidates will also be required to assist in the care of private patients and to clerk patients both on the ward and in the pre-assessment clinics.
