Job summary
Medical outpatients are currently recruiting a nurse to join our outpatient team. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individual with an interest in outpatient nursing. We currently provide nursing support to the department of medicine, dermatology & pathology clinics. Previous experience in a clinical setting is an advantage; however, the department is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and newly registered nurses to develop skills and knowledge across a variety of specialties. Good communication skills are essential as is an ability to work well with others. You will need to be compassionate, flexible and a great team player.
Main duties of the job
The role includes providing support to patients whilst attending clinic appointments for consultations and procedures. You will be working across 3 outpatient areas including dermatology where you will be undertaking light therapy, allergy testing, assisting with minor op procedures and supporting leg ulcer clinics. For all roles training and supervision will be provided as needed. There is a competency framework that you will be required to undertake.
