Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to step into a HR Business Partner role on a maternity cover basis. This role is ideal as a development opportunity for an existing HR professional looking to progress, and we actively welcome applications for acting up or secondment.

You will support the Surgery Division, working closely with senior leaders to provide expert HR advice that directly supports workforce performance, staff experience, and patient safety.

Main duties of the job

  • Act as the lead HR Business Partner for the Surgery Division
  • Provide advice and guidance on complex employee relations cases (performance, conduct, sickness, behaviours)
  • Support delivery of workforce plans, service change, and transformation programmes
  • Coach and develop managers to build confidence and capability in people management
  • Ensure timely management of cases to reduce risk and improve outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with HR colleagues to provide a consistent and high-quality service
