The Divisional Director role is a pivotal point of leadership in shaping services and inspiring teams, to deliver care that makes a real difference to patients and communities.
What You'll Do
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for our Emergency Departments, admission avoidance initiatives, and integrated frailty services.
- Drive collaboration with Place partners to deliver seamless care across health and social care systems. This will include providing leadership and delivery to development of Urgent Care Coordination in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough in partnership with others.
- Creating and maintaining relationships with partners organisations to support innovation in urgent and emergency care, ensuring services are safe, efficient, and patient-focused, and as close to home as possible for our population.
- Work closely with other divisions, executive colleagues, and system partners to deliver integrated models of care.
- Lead the clinical quality - patient safety, clinical effectiveness, patient experience and team health - agenda for UEC Division.
Main duties of the job
About You
- A strong clinical background is essential - you may be a Consultant, GP, senior clinician, or experienced healthcare leader.
- Proven ability to lead complex services and work across organisational boundaries.
- Passionate about improving patient outcomes and delivering high-quality, sustainable care.
- Experience of listening to staff and patients and then acting to deliver improvement.
- An explicit and evidenced commitment to high clinical care and professional standards at all times.
