You'll provide crucial community support to patients managing blood disorders and cancer, offering care, comfort, and a listening ear during, before, during and after treatment, in their own homes or at our outreach clinics.
The post holder will deliver compassionate, high-quality, skilled care under the guidance of a Registered Practitioner, ensuring patient privacy, dignity, and individualised care.

Main duties of the job
This is a cross site position working along side both the Hinchingbrooke Community Cancer Nursing (HCCN) team and the Peterborough Community Cancer Nursing team (PCCN). You will be visiting patients in their homes, with some outreach clinic support, being a vital part of the phlebotomy service. You do need to have excellent phlebotomy skills already, as you will be a lone worker in the community. You will also need a clean and full driving licence, as well as excellent communication skills. This can be a demanding role and it is essential you enjoy being a team player, as well as working alone.
