At North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, we have one of the busiest Breast units within the region providing comprehensive breast care services to a population of around 500,000. Therefore, we will offer training opportunities and Continuing Medical Education at our teaching facilities at Peterborough City Hospital, or our partner institutions Addenbrookes Hospital and the Clinical School in Cambridge.

Main duties of the job

As our new Speciality Doctor, you will be responsible and working alongside the Consultants in providing day-to-day care for breast inpatients, follow-up clinics for outpatients and support the service in theatres.

To ensure the continuity of patient care, you will perform additional duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances and be available for exceptional irregular commitments outside normal rostered duties.

As an experienced specialist in breast, you will be expected to play a contributory role in current departmental research, audit and in teaching junior doctors and medical students, as well as attending weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings. We will offer you full support and advice.
