Maternity Smoke Free Lead Practitioner - Peterborough/Huntingdon

Job summary

The Maternity Smoke-Free Lead Practitioner role will contribute to tackling health inequalities by promoting and supporting Smoke-Free Pregnancies across the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Systems.

It will focus on engaging service users and their families to adopt healthy lifestyles by providing tobacco dependence treatment in line with Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle v3.2, NICE Guidance, and the NHS Long Term Plan.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will establish and maintain communication with service users who smoke, for which strong interpersonal skills are essential. A commitment to working collaboratively with community stakeholders, service users and carers to help reduce health inequalities across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is necessary.

The post holder will deliver evidence-based interventions that focus on behaviour change, and licensed treatment aids for which training can be offered to enable delivery.

Lead and manage a dedicated team of professionals committed to advancing smoke-free practices for pregnant service users. Develop and implement effective strategies to raise awareness and support smoking cessation. Accurately maintain and complete detailed data records to monitor progress and outcomes precisely.Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and effective care for our service users.
