Job summary

The Client and Endpoint team is looking for a Senior Development Analyst. As part of the team you would contribute to supporting, developing and managing various solutions and systems which deliver end user computing technologies.

As a Senior Development Analyst, you would be responsible for undertaking daily planned and responsive tasks, alongside implementing developments and projects which support the continuously evolving technology requirements of the Trust. This is a highly technical and development focused role.

The ideal candidate will have performed a similar role within a large organisation and have excellent problem investigation and resolution skills. A passion for identifying and delivering improvement is crucial, in addition to outstanding communication skills and a desire for collaborative working.

You will be joining a friendly, supportive and dedicated team where your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape and deliver exceptional services to our users, supporting the Trust in delivering outstanding care and experiences to our patients.Managing multiple technologies across a large and complex end user computing service, across three main sites, provides ample opportunity to enjoy a diverse workload.

Main duties of the job

Monitor, maintain and develop the existing systems which deliver end user compute technologies, providing advanced level input to maintain and improve performance.

Identifying, developing and implementing new solutions and processes to deliver outcomes which improve customer experience and satisfaction.

Work as part of a team to deliver a responsive service to incidents, utilising specific system knowledge, solution experience and system access to deliver effective resolutions.

Enhance the overall team skills and capabilities through adoption of best practice methods and by ensuring process documentation is thorough and accurate.

Provide technical assistance and knowledge transfer to other IT teams, either in-person or through the production of clear handover documentation.

Deliver technical advice and input for project requirements and undertake R&D activities for applications, systems and hardware.

Ensure workload requests are completed within appropriate timescales following established task and incident management procedures.

Working methodically as part of a team with attention to detail is essential. A friendly, customer focused manner is required along withgood appreciation for how your contribution within the department can directly impact patient care.

Systems Administration Maintain delivery of consistently high operational standards ensuring multi-platform endpoint functionality, security and availability by managing and monitoring vital services and systems (anti-virus, virtual desktop environment, mobile device management, system management toolsets, thin clients, single sign on and group policy etc.).

Product & System Maintenance Performing technical development activities for systems managed by the Client & Endpoint team and providing advice and guidance in their effective use to other IT teams. Identifying, investigating and resolving arising issues to deliver, maintain and protect the service provision and system performance requirements.

Operational Support Perform regular maintenance activities, capacity monitoring and performance analysis to ensure continuity of service. When required, work as part of a team to provide responsive attention to emerging infrastructure related issues impacting the wider service provision.

  • GCSE in Maths, English, Computing or equivalent - Grade C or above
  • Qualification in an IT related subject or equivalent experience
