Job summary

Assist in the promotion a pro-security culture throughout the Trust in order to assist in the reduction of incidents of theft and protection of Trust assets and violence and aggression towards staff.

Provide the highest standard of professional guidance to Trust staff, and the supporting the management of non-clinical risks and promoting use of safe working practices throughout the Trust.

To promote the Trust's values in creating a safe and secure environment in which to deliver the highest standards of clinical care to the Trust's patients.

You will need to have the ability to work cross site at all Trust premises.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will predominately provide a security advisor role with support to cover Conflict Resolution training where necessary to patient facing staff, you will also be expected to cover the following training provided by the Health, Safety & Security team where needed;

  • Managing Challenging Behaviour (Control and Restraint Training)
  • Inanimate load training
  • First Aid at Work
  • Health and Safety Training
  • Security Training
  • PREVENT training

Applications are welcome from those with experience of resolving conflict and dealing with challenging situations. Knowledge of NHS and working in clinical environments is preferred.

Responsible for pro-actively keeping up-to-date with relevant legislation, Trust policies and procedures to help ensure training materials are relevant and there is quality of access to training, development and education opportunities.

Providing a specialist advisory service to staff with issues relating to training, development and education, often communicating sensitive or difficult information.

Participate in the development of internal policies, practices and procedures for training related topics.
