Job summary
The post holder will:
- Input data into and maintain an accurate EU electronic patient booking diary.
- Assist with provision of efficient and comprehensive administration support within the Endoscopy Unit and across the Clinical Business Unit.
- Ensure that you contribute to the department operating to the highest standards and that it not only meets but exceeds customer expectations.
- Contribute to the delivery of Trust standards for booking and administration procedures.
- Contribute to the delivery of pathways for all patients including cancer patients encompassing Endoscopy services and ensuring information is recorded on all systems in a timely fashion
- Actively take part in team meetings to ensure the department is flexible in its approach to changing workloads.
- Deal sensitively and effectively with telephone enquiries from patients, relatives and colleagues ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- To perform all allocated clerical tasks required to meet the needs of the service
- To undergo training as necessary to meet the needs of new developments within the Service.

Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit a Band 3 Endoscopy Booking Administrator to work and be based in the Endoscopy Booking Office at Peterborough City Hospital.
The working hours will be from 08:00-16:00, Monday to Friday to cover maternity leave for a period of up to 12 months.
Key responsibilities include:
- Booking patients for Endoscopy Procedures.
- Inputting data into Trust systems and booking diary, maintaining accuracy
- Deal with patient telephone enquiries
- Perform clerical duties required in the Booking Office
- Contribute to the delivery of pathways for all patients.
