Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an Oncology Nurse Consultant to take on 12 month fixed term post here at North West Anglia Foundation Trust within Cancer Services.
The post holder will autonomously lead the Adjuvant and Neo-Adjuvant SACT service for patients with Bladder and Prostate cancer, managing a cohort of patients from MDT to follow up.
Working alongside our established and experienced cohort of Medical and Clinical Oncology consultants, as well as the wider MDT.

Main duties of the job
To manage a cohort of bladder and prostate oncology patients undertaking Adjuvant and Neo-Adjuvant therapies.
To prescribe intravenous and oral Adjuvant and Neo-Adjuvant therapies as a non-medical prescriber, (as set out in The UK SACT Board document - Prescriber competencies for reviewing and prescribing SACT).
Undertake clinical leadership for the Toxicity Nurse Specialist team, as well as support the management of the Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist team.
Plan and manage complete episodes of care, working in partnership with others, delegating and referring as appropriate to optimise health outcomes and resource use, providing direct support to patients/carers and clients.
To demonstrate a highly developed specialist knowledge, skills and practical experience in the speciality.
