Stores and Materials Management Assistant - Huntingdon

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen within the Procurement & Supply Chain department to join the Stores & Materials Management Team. Working as part of a small team focused primarily on the processing and internal distribution of all inbound deliveries and the provision of a trusted and essential medical consumable stock replenishment system across all departments in the trust, from our Outpatient departments to Emergency Care Centre and Theatres. This is a dynamic role that touches upon various aspects of total supply chain management in a modern hospital at an entry level withopportunity to develop the skills necessary to progress further in this field.

Main duties of the job

The main functions of the role focus on the efficient and timely distribution of inbound deliveries, Checking goods for accuracy against orders,localised picking of stock, stock checks on wards of medical consumables, creation of stock orders and the delivery of items to departments. Therole does contain a reasonable amount of physical activity so a reasonable level of fitness is required.
