Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an Information Specialist to join the Information Services Department at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust based at Peterborough City Hospital (currently combining home working and office working)

We provide data analysis and reporting services using a variety of tools and techniques that enable the Trust to be operationally efficient, maximise performance and accurately report on national standards.

If you have an interest in analysis and presentation, able to demonstrate skills in SQL and Excel and want to learn about other reporting tools then you may be the person we are looking for.

Main duties of the job

To specialise in hospital activity information analysis and statistics in support of the business.

To provide expert advice and support to the team of Information Analysts for highly complex statistical queries.

To develop highly complex database and spreadsheet applications for analysis and presentation of activity information.

  • Experience of using T-SQL and MS Excel at an advanced level to produce analytical interpretation of data
  • Experience in the use and extraction of data from large complex systems

Desirable

  • NHS experience within an information related environment
  • Demonstrable experience in using a programming language to develop a solution or application
  • Experience of using Microsoft Power BI at an advanced level
