Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational manager as Service Manager for the General Surgery and Urology Clinical Business Unit (CBU) within the Surgical Division to work alongside the Divisional Operations Manager, clinical and nursing leadership.
This is an exciting time to join the team, and this role will be pivotal for the CBU in driving forward the sustainable recovery and change needed to improve our service to patients.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be an experienced NHS manager with proven experience of providing strong leadership and delivering operational performance and service improvement initiatives. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will relish the challenges ahead and be responsible for delivering a range of competing, challenging targets relating to financial, activity, RTT and quality improvement priorities.
The Service Manager role is fast paced and challenging and will require high attention to detail as well as being able to work under pressure. You will be able to establish credibility with a wide range of individuals, must possess strong leadership and negotiation skills together with the vision and drive to ensure your success.
