Job summary
We are looking for a registered (HCPC/VCRT) radiotherapy dosimetrist to join our radiotherapy planning team at Peterborough City Hospital. Established now for almost thirteen years, PCH radiotherapy department prides itself on delivering advanced technical radiotherapy to give our patients the very best outcomes.
Our department is equipped with three Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators. We have a Canon Aquilion large-bore CT scanner, and ProSoma virtual simulation and outlining. Our Eclipse v16 treatment planning system is equipped with state-of-the-art treatment planning capabilities, including RapidPlan, Multi-Criteria Optimisation and GPU calculations. We have recently commissioned MVision AI autocontouring.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide support in all areas of treatment planning.
RapidArc is utilised for all suitable clinical sites, as is daily online IGRT, and 4DCT and DIBH breast treatments are in routine use. Our department has been paperless from the beginning. As well as providing top-class service to our patients, we are actively involved in research and development projects and national clinical trials. We are commissioned to deliver SABR for lung and oligometastatic disease.
