Job summary

We have an opportunity for an ST3+ Level Trust Doctor to join our Emergency Medicine Department at Peterborough City Hospital.

This is a general post within our department with opportunity to work across all areas to gain the experience in a busy department and enhance their CV's and acquire advanced skills in emergency medicine.

Main duties of the job

The post will include a mixture of service and special interest. The specialist interest programme will be tailored to the individual needs of each applicant and you will be assigned a Consultant mentor.

You will be part of the middle grade junior doctor rota and will pick up other clinical activities according to current UK Practice. The average hours of duty for the rota are equivalent to or up to 48 standard duty hours per week.

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • MRCEM Part A, B & C
  • Eligible for full registration with GMC at time of appt.
  • Evidence of achievement of foundation competencies from a UKFPO affiliated Foundation
  • Previous experience in Emergency Medicine

Desirable

  • MRCS/MCRP
  • Evidence of achievement of CT1, CT2 & CT3 ACCS EM competences at CT level

Clinical Experience

  • Demonstrable evidence of experience in Emergency Medicine
