Job summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is a vital member of the Hard FM team, responsible to the Estates Manager Mechanical for the overall leadership and performance of Mechanical engineering team. The incumbent will be responsible for providing direction, leadership and supervision of the teams in delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities
Main duties of the job
- Provides professional advice to the Trust in respect of all technical Estates and Compliance issues. Ensures that the supervision of the Estate stands up to the scrutiny of internal/external auditors in terms of Health and Safety, Value for Money, standards of service, compliance with NHS guidance and other statutory documentation relating to the supervision of NHS premises
- Support Mechanical Estates Manager in addressing any non-compliance with any legal, statutory and mandatory regulations in respect of the Estate.
- Ensures that critical plant equipment and systems are available at all times and establishes contingency plans to be available in the event of failure
- Is responsible for monitoring the Building Management System, and updating through additions, deletions or other changes as necessary
- Provides support in production and submission of tender documents, specifications, commissioning and supervision of maintenance related M&E and building works
- Managing contractors
Assist's with building and maintaining resilience into all aspects of emergency preparedness by developing existing arrangements and creating new strategies and plans as required. Ensures the organisation is able to respond appropriately and as required to major incidents along with business continuity situations that maintain critical services against a wide range of abnormal
