The Recruitment Day will take place on Wednesday the 1st of November at Stamford and Rutland Hospital, Ryhall Rd, Stamford PE9 1UA, between 09:00-14:00.

This event will give you the great opportunity to:

JVG is a 22 single-bedded step-down ward providing further medical care to patients transferred from Peterborough City Hospital. With a mix of diagnoses and co-morbidities, our patients are often elderly and frail. You will be confident in demonstrating strong acute clinical skills and expertise in assessing and evaluating each patient to identify the right care plan.

Main duties of the job

You will be a clinical champion and act as a role model taking a lead role in the patient's journey. You should be able to deputise for the Ward/Department Manager when required.

You will be responsible for the coordination of the clinical care of the patients by offering a secure caring environment and safe working levels with the appropriate skill mix for the shift and subsequent shifts.

By working collaboratively with all disciplines and effectively managing resources, you will ensure a high standard of care for our patients, their relatives, and carers.

You will be responsible for critical clinical decision-making in advising, delivering or referring onward as appropriate.

Professional development is key to the roles. You will facilitate the development of your own clinical practice and skills through training and education as well as your team members.

Our work patterns are created on a shift basis as our patients need our care and attention 24 hours a day 7 days a week, so everyone gets involved working different shifts to ensure our patients receive the best care.
