We have an exciting opportunity available for staff nurses who enjoy working in a flexible and dynamic environment with a diverse range of patient groups.
We are looking for permanent staff to work in the escalation areas at PCH which include the Endoscopy recovery area and the Day Treatment Unit recovery area. This will be your base until a new 20 bed ward, The Queen Elizabeth II, opens at PCH later this year when you will transfer across to this brand new unit where you will support to optimise patients for discharge.
You will be fully supported and become part of a new and developing team. This is a very exciting opportunity to shape a new area and ward and to develop key nursing skills and experience. You will be fully supported with your professional development and will have opportunities for progression within the Division.

Main duties of the job
On arrival to the ward you will be allocated a preceptor to work alongside, gaining all of the skills and competencies from them in preparation to taking a team of your own patients.
We welcome newly qualified nurses and those who are also interested in undertaking the transition to a senior staff nurse. There is always an opportunity to learn more with in house training being regularly arranged, and also the opportunity to attend neighbouring universities to undergo post registration courses.
