Job summary
An exciting opportunity has come up and we recruiting both experienced and newly qualified Registered Nurses to join our Nursing team in Bay Tree, which is a Acute surgical and Medical ward based at Hinchinbrook site. This is an exciting time for our Trust and we would like you to join us on our journey. You will have the support of a close and committed multidisciplinary team, who all work hard to achieve the very best outcomes for our patients. We work closely with the Practice Development Team to be able to support you in your career and development.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of the team planning and delivering high quality care in our 30 bedded Medical / surgical ward.
We see a variety of patients in our ward which will allow you to develop multiple skills within nursing from caring for post-operative patients with PCA or Patient controlled epidural pumps, TPN all the way to effective discharge planning.
You need to be trustworthy and are able to prioritise the care of your patients. You need to have good communication skills both written and verbal and a desire to deliver high quality patient care
Maintain clinical credibility to act as a role model and take a lead role inthe patient's journey.Deliver high quality evidence based care.Take responsibility for the organisation and day to day management of ateam of staff giving care to patientsEnsure that patient care remains a priority in inter-professional practiceand that referrals to the MDT are timely and discharge planning takesplace
