You will work within a highly skilled and collaborative Histopathology team, contributing to a wide range of specialist services including thoracic oncology, congenital and structural heart disease, pulmonary vascular disease, heart muscle pathology, and interstitial lung disease.

Main duties of the job
1. Maintenance of the highest clinical standards to support the management of cardiothoracic patients.
2. Share with colleagues the responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Cardiothoracic Histo/Cytopathology Service and the running of relevant MDTs.
3. Experience in clinical teaching to colleagues and undergraduates.
4. Actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning clinical governance and audit.
5. Responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).
