About the team/department
This is a busy role based within the Cystic Fibrosis team. Our specialist clinicians support and treat patients with Cystic Fibrosis. There is a positive and supportive culture within the department and the whole team works hard to ensure new members receive a warm welcome.

This role involves providing a high quality, patient focused, efficient and complete administrative to the Multidisciplinary team within the Thoracic and Ambulatory Directorate. There will be particular responsibility to proactively monitor and track patient pathways in order to ensure that patient journeys are processed in a timely and efficient manner in line with nationally and locally defined targets. The post holder will liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff both internally and externally.
Main duties of the job
Key Skills Include:
*The ability to communicate basic or sensitive information to colleagues, patients and relatives
*The ability to pay close attention to detail in written and electronic communication and information storage
*The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high quality administrative support
*Ability to organise, prioritise and adjust own workload in relation to the priorities of the department on a daily basis
*Input data accurately on to a computerised system as required and, after full training, work within own levels of competence. Once competent and proficient in the use of IT systems to be responsible for the training of new or existing staff in learning the administrator role
*Routine scanning of patient documentation within one working day of being signed, where required
*Receive and sort incoming/outgoing mail
*Cross cover colleagues where required
*Inputting data as required and ensure quality of IT systems for booking various tests and recording of patient information (eg. Healthroster Lorenzo, EMR, Excel, Word and any other hospital IT systems) according to standard operational procedures
*Enter data regarding patient episodes onto the database
*Run reports and check for missing data, validation where required
*Assist with other data quality checks as required
*General admin tasks where required to support the safe running of the service
