Job summary
The link between education and delivering the highest standards of care and best patient outcomes is indisputable. As the post holder, you will be a crucial member of the education and development team, working within the admin and clerical function, supporting the Clinical Education Team to deliver high-quality education across a range of learner groups. The post holder will contribute towards the quality, efficient administration services provided across the Trust in relation to education, working closely with various teams and services to ensure planning is appropriately structured and communicated. This role, among others, acts as the first line of contact for the Clinical Education Team via telephone or email and is detrimental to the day-to-day operations of the service.
The role is for a 12month fixed term opportunity.
Main duties of the job
The role sits within Clinical Education and works closely with Admin and Clerical functions across various education services in the Trust, including Medical and Workforce Education. The role supports administration elements of inward and outward-facing education delivery to a range of learner groups. Duties include;
Room bookings and management
Managing bookings onto course and register generation
Arranging diaries
Using conference or video calling software
Timetable formation
Information dissemination to faculty and learner groups
Fielding queries related to education and signposting
Use of the Trust learner management system to maintain up to date training records
Aid in room preparation and resource requirements (printing, laminating, binding, photocopying)
Note taking and agenda setting for meetings.
The role is detrimental to the responsiveness of the service and will be one of the first points of contact for the service, ensuring that correspondence is appropriately escalated to relevant parties in a timely fashion to maintain an efficient service. The postholder is expected to work to standard operating practices for routine workloads/workstreams to ensure consistency of outcomes. There is scope for supporting audits and adhoc projects, contributing to development of the services provided alongside the wider team. The post is predominantly office based mainly using visual display units but does support with learner evaluations and co-ordination of some learning events.
