Main duties of the job

This role involves providing a high quality, patient focused, efficient administrative service to the Multidisciplinary team within the Thoracic and Ambulatory Directorate. There will be particular responsibility to proactively monitor and track patient pathways in order to ensure that patient journeys are processed in a timely and efficient manner in line with nationally and locally defined targets. The post holder will also coordinate MDT meetings. This involves liaising with senior clinical and non-clinical staff both internally and externally as well as minute taking. The post holder will have line management responsibility for the band 3 Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator.

Please note you will not have face to face patient contact as part of this role.
